How to apply
How to complete the SG Arrival Card, step by step
The SG Arrival Card is a short electronic form submitted within the 72 hours before arrival in Singapore. The submission is free on the official ICA website. The following walkthrough describes the standard sequence for a typical traveller.
1. Confirm you need to submit one
Almost every foreign visitor entering Singapore must submit the SG Arrival Card, regardless of whether a visa is required. Singapore citizens and Permanent Residents are exempt. Travellers in pure airside transit at Changi who do not pass through immigration are also exempt. See who needs the SGAC.
2. Wait for the submission window
The form can only be submitted within the three days (72 hours) before arrival. The day of arrival counts as one of the three days. The system rejects earlier submissions.
3. Gather your information
- Passport details (number, name as printed, nationality, date of birth, expiry date).
- Flight number or vessel name and arrival date in Singapore.
- Last city or port of embarkation.
- Address of the accommodation in Singapore.
- Working email address for the acknowledgement.
- Travel history of the 14 days before arrival.
A full checklist is available in What information and documents you need.
4. Open the official ICA platform
The SG Arrival Card is submitted on the official ICA website or through the MyICA mobile application. Both are free of charge. Third-party services charge a fee for what is effectively form-filling assistance; using the official platform is the safer and cheaper option.
5. Complete the form
The form asks for traveller type, passport details, trip details, accommodation and an electronic health declaration. Family or group submissions are supported within a single session. Each traveller — including children and infants — needs their own declaration.
6. Submit and save the acknowledgement
After submission, an acknowledgement email is sent within a few minutes. The SG Arrival Card is then linked electronically to the passport. There is no card to print and no QR code to display at the counter, but saving the email is recommended.
7. Re-submit if anything changes
If trip details change after submission — different flight, different address, updated health information — submit the form again with the corrected information. The latest submission supersedes the previous one. See What to do if you made a mistake.
